How to change the root password

Open your client area, go to your server and press Manage. In the Change root password box, type a new password of at least 8 characters and confirm.

On KVM servers the new password is applied by the panel; if the old one still works, reboot the server once from the client area.

If you are logged in to the server, you can also change it from the command line:

passwd
